On May 1 we rocked the night away at Branson’s BBQ in Fond du Lac with our fundraiser “Rock SMA!”  It was a very busy night with a delicious dinner, silent auction items, raffles and The Presidents, our rockin’ local band.  So many supporters showed up, and after the tallies were in, we raised over $3,000 for Lucy’s Hope for a Cure and the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation!

The night started off with yummy entrees served up by Branson’s staff, all wearing custom Lucy’s Hope for a Cure t-shirts.  We were presented with a matching one for the guest of honor as well!  What a great way to get the word out!  We were very happy that we were able to bring Lucy along to thank everyone for their hard work and for coming to support our important mission:  to provide Lucy with the best quality of life possible and to facilitate an end to this debilitating disease.

During dinner, attendees were able to bid on the silent auction items and purchase tickets for the raffle.Tables were filled and the bidding wars were on!

The night ended with The Presidents, a classic rock cover band from the area, and they had the place bumpin’ til well after midnight. Drinks and dancing were on the menu for the rest of the night!  We would like to say a huge thank you to Marjorie Trew-Munson and Trisha and Dace Branson of Branson’s BBQ for organizing, promoting and just generally doing everything they could to make this event a huge success.

To everyone who came out to show their support and have a great time, I say thank you.  We have so much work ahead of us if we want to see an end to this disease, but if everyone pulls together, there is nothing that can stop us!
